How was she the winner?
I thought Clarissa's room was one of the worst. *yawn*

Re: How was she the winner?
It seriously was. I'm sick of her using BRIGHT ASS Orange and Reds with Green too.

Ryan should have left. LONG overdue. :[

yeah, what were the judges smoking? That lamp & chair are so played. Maybe it's too much influence of the judge who adapted the Dating Game set for the 21st century.

And what's up with always kicking out the woman? Ryan should have been gone at least twice. I think Felicia & Elizabeth are both more talented.

I'm starting to have self doubts of my own taste...
And why the hell were they so impressed with those pillow/cushion cases made out of napkins? My best friend did the same thing for me when she was a sophomore in high school!

I don't know what they meant by Clarissa found the best things from the garage sale. She stuff looked like they were from a garage sale and I thought if you're a good garage sale shopper you buy things that DON'T look like they're from a garage sale?

Ryan needs to go! I think he has good ideas but he sucks!

Re: I'm starting to have self doubts of my own taste...
Lots of other designers actually re-purposed the garage sale stuff, like the architect woman whose name I forget, and lovely Goil. Carisa wasted too much time on her rolling cart thing (which it was a good thing it was scrapped, imo). I also think Matt's looked good, and even the judges said he made garage sale look expensive, which i think was the point. I actually kinda liked Michael's. What is so horrible about dark purple? Granted, it was kinda dumb to use colors so similar to the ones that got Elizabeth auf'd, but still, it's better than three different colors of red, bright orange and horror green.

I really don't get why they're so fixated on color choice. Why not give more credit for innovative DESIGN, like Goil's? The judges are the ones who have earned the dreaded moniker "decorator."

Matt or Goil should have won.

Carisa needs to GO. She has a terrible attitude and her rooms all look the same and NOT what her clients need. WHERE WAS THE STORAGE??!?! seriously. whatever.
glad Ryan got a talking to about his elitist artist designer-snubbery nonsense.

I felt that Matt has the best room HANDS-DOWN. It looked so classy and not at all like things were bought at a garage sale. Also, designer for a designer, he even had a DRAFTING TABLE! All i have to say is, Wow.

I've got to say it. While I don't believe Carissa's room should have won, there was some storage. The little bookcase at the bottom of the bed, and there was plenty of room under the back table. Obviously she could have used her carpenter to put up a few bookshelves, but still.. I agree Matt's should have won, except for the green walls. I think if the guy wanted Armani, he really should have gone with a brown or gray, or done what some of the people did and used paneling, even floor paneling with some kind of stain.
